Kaitlyn Ann Johnson

Kaitlyn Ann Johnson, 14, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. Born in Durham County, NC, she is the daughter of John Anthony “Tony” and Theresa Johnson Kent, who survive of the home. Her smile would brighten up any room she entered and her smile was known to be contagious to others. She was a people person, as she always enjoyed being around and laughing with friends and family. She was proud that she got baptized at Abundant Life Church in Hillsborough and she enjoyed being around water whether she was tubing at Hyco Lake or just swimming in the pool with friends. She was so proud to have been a part of the Make A Wish Foundation where she got to become a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide and she wore her cheerleading uniform with pride and happiness. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Rebecca Kent, of the home; brothers, Anthony Kent and wife Jessica, of Jacksonville, FL and Corby Kent, of the home; niece, Ava Kent, of Jacksonville, FL and her grandparents, Don and Mable Johnson, of Efland and Ron and Fran Loyd, of Mississippi. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday November 20, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane with the Pastor David Smith Officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge UMC Cemetery in Efland. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Saturday November 19, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, and other times at the residence of Ray and Carolyn Glasgow, of Efland.
