Kathleen Timperman

Kathleen Mary (McCormack) Timperman of Mebane, NC, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Saturday, January 17th, 2026.

Kathy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Herman “Pete” Timperman, her parents, William and Florence McCormack, and five of her siblings, David, William, John, Loretta, and James. Kathy is survived by her stepchildren, Peter Timperman and Tom Timperman and their families; her four sisters, Florence, Mary, Arlene, and Annemarie; many caring nieces and nephews; and a dear collection of warm-hearted neighbors and friends.

Kathy was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ with her large family and was ready to venture out on her own at a young age. She was lucky to have had countless wonderful experiences throughout her life with family and friends, whether at the Jersey shore, in Florida or Texas, on a faraway trip, or on a friendly back porch. Knowing no strangers, Kathy made special connections wherever she went, leaving an imprint with some that lasted through the years and became treasured friendships. She was especially blessed and ever so grateful for friends who tended to and cared for her in any time of need.

A kind and clever spirit, Kathy was as quick to extend help to someone in need as she was to snap a witty quip to set them straight. She was a pistol. Smart and sharp with goodness in her heart, she was fun & funny, and always had a great, sometimes not-so-short story to share. These were the best moments with her. To delight in one of her stories, you felt fortunate to be included and privy to a special memory or moment in her life.

Kathy lived a long, happy, full life and cherished her husband, Pete, and their time together. She is surely celebrating with him now. Kathy is with all of her loving family members and friends who have gone to rest. We know she is at peace with joy in her heart.

Regardless of which of the many endearing nicknames she was referred, Kathy, Kay, Aunt Kathy, Dot, Kate, or Miss Kathy, she will be forever loved and greatly missed. She was a wonderful gift, and we thank her for being sweet and caring, and leaving us with love in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at McClure’s Funeral Home, 1308 South Third Street, Mebane, NC, on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 10 a.m.

A second service will be held in her home state of New Jersey. To be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy’s honor to The Greater Canaan Baptist Church in Mebane, NC.
