Kathrine Latta Alston

Mrs. Kathrine Latta Alston was born in Caswell County, NC to the late Johnny Sam and Christine Pinnix Latta. After a brief illness she departed this life on January 3, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Kathrine’s love and compassion as a caregiver brought her to the doors of Ralph Scott Life Services where she was employed until her health declined. She loved to cook, listen to gospel music, a dedicated San Francisco 49ers football and Duke basketball fan. She loved spending time with the “twins” (her grandchildren). Kathy’s truck driving experience took her and Dewitt all over the United States! Those left to cherish her memories: her husband, Mr. Dewitt Alston Jr. of the home; two daughters, Miss Keri Enoch and Mrs. Nicole White (Chad) of Burlington; two grandchildren (twins) Ananda White and Desmond White of Burlington; one brother, Mr. Reuben Pinnix (Sylvia) of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Lena L. Badgett (Baxter), Miss Louise Latta, Miss Blanche Page all of Burlington, Ms. Mary P. Patrick of Elon College; two aunts, Lula Brand of Burlington and Rachel Harris of Reidsville; mother in law, Ms. Shirley Alston of Mebane; three sisters in law, Mrs. Rose Graves (Aaron), Mrs. Loretta Tutt of Burlington, and Lorraine Alston of Mebane; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.A service will be conducted on Thursday January 8, 2015 at 1:00PM at St. Matthews AME Church, 5562 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road, Graham. Burial will follow at Farr Marr Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 from 1:00PM- 8:00PM at McClure Funeral & Cremation Service in Graham.
