Kenneth Raymond Caro, 65, of Pittsboro, NC and born on December 2, 1960, in Queens, New York, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina. He was a Christian, a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a retired NYPD officer who devoted most of his life to law enforcement and public service. Kenneth lived a life marked by duty, loyalty, and steadfast conviction. He was known as a man of values who always stood by his decisions, and he carried himself with the quiet strength and integrity that earned the respect of those who knew him. His life in law enforcement reflected his deep commitment to protecting others, and his service in the Marine Corps was a source of great pride throughout his life. He was also a dedicated member of ALCOVETS, where he spent countless hours helping local veterans in need. Kenneth had a servant’s heart, and he found purpose in giving his time and energy to others. Whether he was supporting fellow veterans, spending time at the range, or simply sharing conversation with friends and family, he did so with sincerity and care. He will be remembered not only for his service, but also for the kindness and loyalty he showed throughout his life. Kenneth is survived by his brother, Tom Caro, and his wife, Pam, as well as his loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend, Bob Young, and Bob’s children, Nick, Anthony, and Robert Young. He is fondly remembered by his friends, Dave, Greg, and Mike, all of whom were blessed by his friendship and presence in their lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eileen Goss Caro, and by a brother, Donald J. Caro. Their memory remained close to his heart throughout his life. Kenneth was a loving brother, uncle, and friend to all, and his absence will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved him. Those who were fortunate enough to know Kenneth will remember a man who lived with honor, served with distinction, and cared deeply for others. His legacy is one of faith, service, and unwavering character. He will be remembered with love and respect by all whose lives he touched.
