Kenneth Earl Payne

Kenneth Earl Payne, 70 of Burlington passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was a native of Smith County, VA,  employed as a driver for Estes Express Lines and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and church  family. He is the son of the late Levi & Virginia Creggar Payne. He was also preceded in death by sons, Michael Irving Herron and Jeffrey Wayne Herron; brother, Ervin Payne and sister, Kathy Payne.

He is survived by his wife; Marsha McCullock Payne of the home; daughter, Katherine Payne Reed of Burlington; brother Bennie Payne of Burlington; sisters Zetta McKenzie of Burlington, Cheryl Dellinger of Haw River, Karen Hill of Reidsville and Thelma Steele of Burlington; grandchildren, Alexandria Reed of Graham and Brendan Reed of Burlington.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22 at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Burlington by Pastor Steve Loy. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 -2:00 before the service. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1358 Antioch Church Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
