Kenneth D. Southard

K.D. Southard, 87, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2019.  He was residing at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields.  He was a native of Alamance County and retired from Western Electric after 30 years of service.  He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Mebane.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth D. Southard Jr. and wife Linda, their son Robert all of Seale Ala., Charles D. Southard and wife Janice of Fayetteville, NC.  He is also survived by his sister Marie Terrell of Mebane and numerous step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years Gerrie Southard in 1980 and his wife of 30 years Faye Medlin in 2017.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday December 28, 2019 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane with Pastor Sammy Ballard officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday.
