Larry Monroe Davis Sr.

Larry Monroe Davis, Sr., 76 of Elon died Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He was a native of Alamance County, Retired Owner & Operator of Larry Davis Textiles and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was the son of Broadwell Monroe & Ruby Isley Davis and husband of the late Sue Montgomery Davis. Larry was active with Kiwanis, a charter member of the Flying Rebels Motorcycle Club, a member of the Retreads, loved restoring and showing older automobiles and was Owner & Operator of the Brown Mule Trading Company.

He is survived by his children, Larry Monroe Davis, II of Elon, Tammy Lynn Davis of Allen, TX, Daphne Brooks (Kevin) of Burlington, Dana Lamar Stout of Graham; step son, Donald Wilder (Sissy) of Ramseur; brother, Jerry Benton Davis (Carolyn) of Graham; sister Cherri Davis Shoffner (Steve) of Graham; grandchildren, Alayna King (Randy), Ashley Stout (Kelsie Tate), Lauren Myrick (Michael), Ryan Stout (Hannah), Laura Clark (James); great granddaughter, Ryland Stout; special niece, Denise Rud.

A service to celebrate his life will be 3:00 PM Monday at Bethel Baptist Church by Pastor David Jackson, & Pastor Billy Smith. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 2:00 – 3:00 before the service.
