Larry Hamlett

On June 25, 1951, Larry Grant Hamlett was born to Jimmy and Betty Ruth Hamlett.  He was the oldest of six siblings.  For 38 years, Larry was blessed to be married to his devoted and caring wife, Sangut.  Larry exemplified that a man’s “children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6. One of his most cherished roles was that of father to his four sons, Grant, Jody, Stephen and Dennis; and four step-sons, Frank, Tom, Ray and Steve. As much as he loved his boys, nothing compared to his love and affection for his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was famous for calling to say PaPa loves you!

On November 7, 2022, Larry left this world to enter into his eternal joy with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We know that Larry is rejoicing in seeing his parents, grandparents, brother and many loved ones who went before him but most of all in walking with Jesus.  Larry loved the Lord and worshiped Jesus faithfully at the World of Pentecost.  He had a deep, abiding respect for Bishop and Sister Godair. Larry began his walk with Christ under the leadership of Bishop Johnny Godair at the First Pentecostal Church of Durham.

The family will be receiving friends and family at the home of Stephen and Allison Hamlett located at 1101 Cedar Crest Drive, Graham, NC.  Services will be conducted at the World of Pentecost ,1395 Hanford Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens in Mebane, NC.
