Larry Alton Simpson

ELON - Larry Alton Simpson, 77, of 2651 Elon-Ossipee Road, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. He was a native of Alamance County, retired textile supervisor and member of Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was also a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.He was preceded in death by his parents; Russell and Dorothy Jordan Simpson; son, Dennis A. Simpson and two brothers-in-law.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Martin Simpson; son, Randy Lee Simpson; special furry daughter, Lady; grandson, Timmy Lee Simpson and girlfriend Megan Ray; step-granddaughter, Ashley Brown; great-grandchildren, Larissa and Allie; sisters, Margie Ward and Sandra Hawkins; brother-in-law, Lee Martin and wife Peggy; and daughter-in-law. Melinda Simpson.Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Mike Jones. The family will receive friends at the residence.
