Laurent Leon Changuion

Laurent Changuion was a man full of life and love, with a heart for God and a heart for people. He was both a servant and a leader—a selfless, gifted man of unwavering faith. He was a deeply devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and teacher.

Laurent had an energetic and adventurous spirit. He lived his life with passion and compassion, driven by a deep desire for everyone to know and experience the love of Jesus. It was through the overflow of his relationship with Jesus that he freely gave all he had received, hoping others would encounter that same steadfast love.

Laurent Changuion is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughters, Tersia Cronk of Jacksonville, NC, and Hope D'Anna (husband, Pete) of Mebane, NC; his granddaughter, Alyssa Cronk of Hubert, NC; his three brothers in South Africa: Peter (wife, Leone), René (wife, Odette), and André (wife, Tania); his sister in the UK, Tersia Downing; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday October 25, 2026 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
