Leola Sclorine Wilborn Beard

MEBANE, N.C. - Mrs. Leola Sclorine Wilborn Beard, 81, of The Oaks of Burlington, passed Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of declining health. She was born in Person County, a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane, the daughter of the late Joe David Wilborn and Eula Jane Castle Wilborn. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Charles Beard; daughter, Sandra Limon; and sister, Kathleen Pardue. Surviving are her grandchildren, Amanda Aguayo and fiancé Jon Adams of Mebane, Jessica Aguayo Rios and husband Horacio of Efland, Brandon Aguayo of Burlington; four great grandchildren, JoJo Gilbert, Horacio Rios, Sebastian Rios and Julian "JuJu" Rios; brothers, Archie Wilborn and wife Margaret of Mebane and Curtis Wilborn and wife Janet of Chattanooga, Tenn. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Mebane with the family receiving friends at the church prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until service time. The Rev. Dr. Judy Butler and the Rev. Dr. Terry Farmer will officiate. The body will remain at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane until taken to the church for the service. Public viewing for relatives and friends will be Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
