Leslie "Les" Lehman Cannada

Lesile Cannada, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Efland, NC. Les is survived by his wife of (40 years), Faydean Cannada; son, Shane Cannada and wife Elizabeth Cannada; four grand children Parker Cannada,  Lyric Woods, Haleigh Cannada, Genovia “Novi” Cannada and one great grandson, John Cannada; his brother, Paul of Maryland and wife Joann. Also numerous brother-in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patty; father, Otha; Aunt Caralee, Aunt Margaret and his Uncle Clyde. Les was born on April 28, 1939 in Durham NC and graduated from Hargrave Military Academy. Les was a devoted husband, Father and grandfather. He retired after 33 years from Durham Regional Hospital, as a service engineer. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his sweet granddaughter Novi. He was also a problem- solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He enjoyed traveling and going on many cruises through out the years with his wife. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A funeral service is scheduled for 1pm on November 20, 2020 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane, NC. Visitation is from 11am-1pm prior to the service.  Following with a graveside service at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church in Efland, NC. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day. Enjoy every moment, even the small ones!
