Lewis "Tommy" Thomas Evans

Mr. Lewis “Tommy” Thomas Evans of Efland, NC passed away on Friday, February 09, 2024, at ARMC. He was the son of the late Roy Winfred and Nellie Dunnigan Evans. Mr. Evans worked as a truck driver and retired as a construction superintendent. Tommy will be remembered as a hard working and kind man with a big heart who always enjoyed doing for others. He loved his family very much, making even extended family always feel like one of his own.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Simmons Evans; his sisters, Dale Evans Tilley, and Judy Evans Hamm; and eight nieces and nephews.

Mr. Evans is survived by his daughters, Cindy Freeman (Robert), and Windy Seekins (Danny); his grandchildren, Jessica Evans (Kara), Amber Scott, and Kenneth Davis; his great-grandchildren, Aubree, Jaeden, Vaden, Jace, and Teagan; his brothers, Ronald Evans, and Hugh Evans; and his sisters, Peggy White, and Nita Pridgen.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, beginning at 4:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service until 6:00pm, and other times at Mr. Evans’ residence.
