Lillie Mae Shephard

Lillie Mae Shephard, 80, of Burlington, NC, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2025. A native of Alamance County, she was born on January 8, 1945, to the late Ed and Myrtle Brincefield. Lillie Mae spent 28 dedicated years working at Glen Raven Mills. She loved to try her luck at gambling, and she rarely missed an episode of The Price Is Right or Let’s Make a Deal. She had a lifelong affection for animals, especially poodles, and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Snuggles.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her eleven brothers.

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Robin Hines (Barry); her son, Ernest “Tanker” Shephard (Susie); eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her sister, Francis Roberts.

A visitation will be held to honor Lillie’s life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lillie’s name to the Burlington Animal Shelter or AuthoraCare Hospice .
