Mebane

Linda Denise Bullock (Sangster)left this earthly plane to meet her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2026 at the age of 71 at her home in Mebane, NC. Linda was born on April 11, 1955 to George and Sarah Bullock in Boston, MA. She was the first born of 14 children. Linda carried out the legacy set by both her father and grandfather through multiple roles; she was a faithful member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Boston Massachusetts. Linda was known for her exceptional operatic vocals as a soprano in the choir and also as a regular soloist. On April 20, 1974, Linda married Donald Sangster, the love of her life, and together, they raised 5 children who were loved, and raised on the same Godly principles of love with which she lived her own life.

As a woman of God who lived with so much joy and love in her heart, Linda poured into her community in many ways. She shared her wisdom with those coming up after her as a Mt. Calvary Youth Development teacher of girls 9-11 years old. Her home was a welcome space to everyone blessed enough to cross her threshold and neighborhood friends were more than comfortable referring to her as “mom.” Linda spent many sleepless nights pouring her love into the many outfits she’s made for her customers and family members as an incredible seamstress and proud fashion trendsetter.

Linda Denise Sangster (Bullock) is predeceased by her brother Eddie and Walter , and her sister Viola . She is survived by Donald Sangster, her loving husband of 52 years, her five children Delores, Donald “Earl” Jr, Calvin and his wife Vanessa, Nathan, and Phillip, and her grandchildren Josiah, Briejah, Skylar, Calvin Jr., Aneiya, Roshaun, and Micah. She’s also survived by her parents, 11 living brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews and host of cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Eastside Baptist Church in Mebane.  The family will receive friends from 10am-11am On Saturday at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens.
