Linda Jean Tilley

Linda Jean Tilley, 69, of Raleigh, NC formerly of Mebane, NC, passed away on Saturday August 15, 2015 in Burlington. A native of Wake County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Donald Chester Tilley and Betty Crotsley Tilley. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was known for her loyalty to her family, friends, or even a stranger whom she could help in anyway and she was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her sisters, Judy T. Starnes, of Morganton, NC, Peggy T. Curasi, of Mebane, and Tracy T. Lee and husband Robbin, of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Starnes, Jeff Starnes, Johnny Starnes, Jay Starnes, Craig Curasi, Chad Curasi, Chris Curasi, Maddison Lee and Specnce Lee; her furry child, Bogart, and many loving cousins and friends. The family of Miss. Tilley would like to express their love and gratitude to Mrs. Ginny Parker in Raleigh for her love and friendship to Linda throughout the years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 20, 2015 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane, NC with the Rev. Dr. Terry Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane, NC, and other times at the residence of her sister, Peggy Curasi at 309 Woodlawn Rd. Mebane, NC. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Charity of one’s choice or to the Hospice Home of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27217.
