MEBANE - Lindbergh "Jake" Jacobs, 84, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.He was a native of Orange County, retired from GE in Mebane, a member and Past Master of Eagle Lodge #19 in Hillsborough, a KCCH in the Scottish Rite, Valley of Greensboro, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.He was preceded in death by his parents, William Chester and Mamie Dunnigan Jacobs; daughter, Lucy McVey; and brother, Roy Lee Jacobs.He is survived by his wife, Lexi Doby Jacobs; children, Joseph and Tammy Jacobs, Billy and Connie Jacobs, Donald Jacobs, George and Sherry Jacobs, Bill and Carol Hatch, Bobby Hatch, Linda Crawford, Janie Roberson and Jerry Hatch; sister, Molly Vaughn; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by the Rev. Mark Norman Vickers.
