Lisa Renee Hardie

BROWNS SUMMIT - Lisa Renee Straughan Hardie, 50, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 27, 2014, at her home. Lisa was a caring and loving daughter, mother and friend. She loved helping people with whatever problem they had and was a friend to all. She was a joy and fun to be around and loved all her extended family. She was an uplifting person to those in need. Lisa was born in Durham County and graduated from Jordan High School. She had just recently gone into nursing and received her medical assistant degree. She was a member of Triad Baptist Church in Greensboro. Lisa is survived by her son, Blake Greene (Ashley Patterson) of Greensboro; grandchild, Ashlynn Patterson; mother and stepfather, Mary and Dale Howard, of Mebane; father, Earl Straughan of Florida; stepsisters, Sharon Durham of Mebane and Teresa Burns of Florida. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be the Rev. Bobby Tate and the Rev. James Tester. Burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Church cemetery in Mebane. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
