MEBANE - Lloyd Fred Totten Jr., 66, of 5607 Lebanon Road, Mebane, N.C., passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the VA Hospital in Durham, N.C.Fred was born in Alamance County. He was retired from Burlington Industries and a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. Fred proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era.Surviving are his wife, Nellie P. Totten of the home; daughters, Tonya Oakley of Mebane and Amy Scarlett (Mike) of Mebane; grandsons, Spencer Oakley, Colby Scott, and Andrew Scott; stepgrandchildren, Krystin Brown, Amanda Scarlett, Lauren Scarlett, and Landon Scarlett; great-grandchildren, Camden Scarlett and Anderson Brown; mother, Sarah Totten Hall, brothers, Donald Totten (Hilda) of Burlington and Steve Totten (Marjorie) of Graham.He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Fred Totten Sr. and stepfather, Hugh Hall.A memorial service will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Mebane. Officiating will be the Rev. Drew Willis. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 until 8 Friday evening.
