Lois Margaret (Young) Huff

Mrs. Lois Margaret Young Huff, 92, of Elon, NC formerly of Burlington, NC passed away on August 29, 2024, at Liberty Commons in Burlington. A native of Washington, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Young and Elizabeth Black Snook. Lois retired from Glen Raven Mills with 15 years of service. She was known for her sewing and crocheting abilities as she would make blankets and sweaters for her family. She was a great cook, and everyone always enjoyed eating at her table. She will forever be remembered for being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Huff Chatham and husband Calvin, and her son, Barry Huff; her grandchildren, Lance Huff and wife Shea, Trey Chatham and wife Michelle, and Isaac Chatham and wife Lindsay; great grandchildren, Cole and Cooper Huff and Morgan Chatham.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Lane Huff; her sisters, Lila Mackerly and Paula Droppa, and her brothers, Earl and Richard Young. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alamance Co. Meals on Wheels at 411 West Fifth St. #A Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Burlington Animal Services at 221 Stone Quarry Rd. Burlington, NC 27217. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
