Louise Wade Scott

MEBANE - Mrs. Louise Wade Scott, 87, passed away on Friday January 23, 2015 at Hospice Home & Palliative Care Alamance-Caswell surrounded by her loving family. Born to her parents, Willie and Fannie Wade; she graduated from Prospect Hill School as Salutatorian. During her working days, she was employed for over eighteen years at Burlington Industries as well as being a homemaker throughout her days. She was a longtime active member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, elder, youth leader, Sunday school teacher, devotion leader for her Sunday school class & circle group, as well as being very involved in Women of The Church. In 2000 she received an honorary lifetime membership to the Presbyterian Women of The Church. Louise loved reading and had the ability to master crossword puzzles.Those left to cherish her memories are sons - Doug Scott & wife Betty, Keith Scott & wife Donna, Steve Scott & wife Beth; daughters - Charlene Compton & husband Ken, Sue Warren; daughter in law - Jane O. Scott; sixteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years- Charlie Hayes Scott; her parents - Willie & Fannie Wade; son- Michael D. Scott.A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday January 27th, 2015 at 2:00PM at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church in Mebane. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew D. Randolph. Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm at McClure Funeral & Cremation Service in Mebane on Monday January 26th and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church General Fund 3302 North Carolina 119, Mebane, NC 27302
