Louise Mabel (Thompson) Blalock

Mrs. Louise Mabel Thompson Blalock, 90, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 14th, 1934, in Caswell County, NC and was the daughter of David and Mariah Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mariah Thompson; her son, Harold Blalock; four sisters, Annie Rudd, Doris Rudd, Hazel Self, and Janie Bowes; and five brothers, Jim Thompson, Albert Thompson, Clarence Thompson, Wallace Thompson, and David Thompson Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, James Blalock; her daughters, Lisa Moore (David) and Ann Phillippie (Mark); her grandchildren, Amber Moore, Candice Harrod (John) of Burlington, NC, Kevin Phillippie of Colorado; her great grandchild, Kathryn Harrod; her step grandchildren, Franklin Moore (Emily), John Moore (Allie), and Warren Moore; her five great step grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ellen Ball (James) of Mebane, NC; her brothers, Curtis Thompson of Burlington, NC and Jerry Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held to honor her life on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane beginning at 12:00pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
