Louise Wood Brown

GRAHAM - Louise Wood Brown passed away, after living 97 wonderful years, on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014.Louise was happily married for 70 years to the late Wilbur Brown and was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. She retired from Baker- Cammack Hosiery after 25 years of service. Louise had to quit school in the eighth grade to help with the family and went back to school at Elon College in 1961 where she received her GED.She is survived by a sister, Ruby Dolly Isley of Raleigh; sister-in-law Peggy Wood, of Burlington; and a host of loving family members.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Craven Wood and Josephine Herron Wood; sisters, Thelma Kimball and Edna Holt; brothers, W.J. Wood, Parker Wood and L.C. Wood. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation with the Rev. Tom Miller and the Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church or Mt.
