Lynelta Shaw Carroll

Lynelta Shaw Carroll, 71, of Pittsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Lynelta was born in Chatham County. She was retired from UNC Hospitals after 15 years of service. She was also a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by her children; Jane Davis (Jaye) of Sanford, Donna Hildreth (Michael) of Moncure, Tina Gordon (Tony Hackney) of Pittsboro, Sabrina Carr (Zack) of Pittsboro, and Clifton Dale Carroll (Stacey) of Greensboro. Thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Worthington Carroll, parents, Griff and Ruth Phillips Shaw, and a brother, Donald Shaw. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Mt Olive Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. David Crowther and Rev. Rob Roberts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 5 until 7 Saturday evening. Other times they will be at the home of Tina Gordon, 2134 Silk Hope-Lindley Mill Rd., Pittsboro, NC.
