Mabel Inez Stutts

Mabel Inez Stutts, 95, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2021 at UNC-Chapel Hill. Mabel was born in Scotland County, Laurinburg, N.C. to Mary Waggoner Norton and John Elmer Norton, both deceased. Mabel retired from Kayser-Roth and was a member of Harvest Hills Church of God.

Married to the love of her life for 64 years, Hassell Stutts, deceased, Mabel is survived by three sons, Hassell Leon Stutts, Jr. (Linda), Eddie Lee Stutts (Debbie), Freddie Allen Stutts, and one daughter, Brenda Stutts Williamson (Greg); nine grandchildren, Tina Greeson (Greg), Jodi Hogan (Jamie), Randy Stutts (Angel), Jacob Stutts (Stephanie), Kim Stutts, Mitchell Stutts (Kristin), Paiten Wrenn, Holly Bolick (Michael) and Matthew Williamson (Angela); Eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; one sister, Juanita Snider.

Mabel was preceded in death by one grandson, Eddie Lee Stutts, Jr; one sister, Pauline Norton, and four brothers, Elmer Norton, Grover Norton, Sam Norton, and Dallas Norton.

A celebration of Life will be held at McClure Funeral Home, Graham on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends at 10:00 AM prior to service. Officiating the service will be Dr. Russell A. Morris, Rev. Matthew G. Williamson and Pastor Norman Fargis. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at the home of Leon and Linda Stutts, Graham.
