DURHAM, N.C. - Miss Marjorie Althea Waterson, 92, of Durham, formerly of Burlington, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Peak Resources Center of Durham.She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Celina Davis Waterson. Miss Waterson was a loving aunt, great-aunt, sister and friend. She was retired from Mt. Hope Finishing with numerous years of service. She was always grateful and loving to her niece and family for their care and love. Miss Waterson is survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth Payne Waterson, of Burlington; niece, Pamela (Andy) Moore of Durham; nephews, Alan (David) Hancock of Emerald Isle, N.C. and Joel D. Williams of Mebane; great-niece, Amber (Phillip) Bullard of Cedar Grove, N.C.; great-nephew, Cameron Moore of Durham; two great-great-nieces; a great-great-nephew and numerous loving family members in Massachusetts .In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Muriel Dean and Ruth Thomas; and brothers, Wesley Waterson and Alan Waterson. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2013 in the Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. James Bryan.There will be no public visitation.
