Maree Lewis Grinnell

Maree Lewis Grinnell, age 60 of Burlington, was welcomed into the eternal presence of Christ on Monday, September 9, 2024. Maree was a devoted wife, mother of two and grandmother of six who endearingly referred to her as ReeRee.  Maree accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 9 and at the age of 18 entered into what would become 42 years of marriage and ministry as a pastor’s wife alongside her husband, David. Though she has worked many jobs over the years which included Insurance, Banking, Flight Attendant, Phlebotomist, Assistant Elementary School Teacher and Child Care-Worker, her greatest desire and enjoyment was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was always the first to volunteer to care for her grandkids when needed and often made sacrifices to spend time with them. She had both a sweet and spirited personality along with a great sense of humor that often brought laughter to those around her.  Maree was a faithful and caring pastor’s wife who loved serving the people in the churches that God appointed to their care. Her faith in God was strong and in her last days on this earth she never showed signs of fear or doubt. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Hazel Lewis.

She is survived by David, her husband of 42 years; her daughter Heather Pfremmer, her husband, John, and their four daughters, Bailee, Braelyn, Brynn and Beverly; her son, Spencer Grinnell, his wife, Kayla, and their two children Tali and Oaklen.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00pm at Peoples Church.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service.
