Margaret Runyan Obituary

Margaret Horne Runyan, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 surrounded by love at Hospice Home of Alamance.  Margaret was born in Richmond, VA to Charles and Margaret Horne.

Margaret spent the majority of her adult life in Washington. There she raised her children and enjoyed her grandchildren. After a long career she retired from Boeing and was able to pursue her love of traveling. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic church.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Brenda Wentland (Mike). Son, Richard Poindexter, Step son, Dan Barkley (Tanya). Grandchildren, Adam Banuelos (Karen Cortez), Sarah Peat (Cody), Calvin Poindexter, Blake Poindexter. Great Grandson, Spencer Peat.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Clark Runyan, and her son, Michael Harris.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham.

A reception will be held at the Wentland home following the service.
