Margaret (Ladd) Wilborn

Mrs. Margaret Ladd Wilborn 85, of Mebane, NC passed away at her residence on Thursday October 13, 2022.  Margaret was born in Durham, NC on July 2, 1937 to the late William “Red” Ladd and Pansy Morring Ladd. Margaret was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Duncan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane for 65 years where she and Archie rocked so many babies and loved them as their own. She taught everyone that knew her about Jesus through her example of being kind and generous to everyone she met. She will be forever known for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many and will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband, Archie Odell Wilborn Sr.; her children, Archie Wilborn Jr. and wife Cindy, Steve Wilborn and wife Dawn “Boojum”, Lisa Allen and husband Al, Wendy Couch and husband Gary and Andrea Turner and husband Dennis; 9 loving grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday October 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Mebane with the Pastor Sammy Ballard and Dr. Terry Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until service time at the Church on Sunday and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mebane (Operation In-As-Much) at 301 South Third St. Mebane, NC 27302 or to AuthoraCare Hospice at 918 Chapel Hill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.
