Marie (Paris) Buckner

Marie Paris Buckner, 98, of Graham passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Hospice Home of Burlington. Marie was born in Alamance County to Henry Green Paris and Roxie Belle Patterson Paris both deceased. She was the wife of Henry Clyde Buckner also deceased.

Marie retired from UNC Div. of Neurosurgery Dept. as a secretary. She also was a member of Saints Alive Senior Citizens Club, Member of the United Methodist Women, and Squareheels Square Dance Club. Marie was a member of Salem Community Church where she played Piano for 40 years.

Marie is survived by her sons, Henry Nelson Buckner and Michael Green Buckner (Peggy). Grandchildren, Jared Nelson Buckner (Stefanie) and Justin Henry Buckner (Jennifer). Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth Buckner and Katherine Buckner. In addition to her parents and husband Marie was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Paris and Walter Paris. Sister, Ola Crutchfield. Daughter in law, Chriss Buckner.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Salem Community Church. Officiating will be Rev. Denny Freeland. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the funeral service.

Other times the family will be at the home of Johnny Crutchfield, 5649 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Rd., Graham, NC 27253
