Marie Mitchell

Marie Mitchell, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on April 10, 1954, Marie's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the warmth of a loving heart. She was known for her gentle spirit, generous heart and her quick wit.  Marie's legacy is carried on by her daughter, Ivy Sanders, her adored granddaughter, Alex Seamster, her husband, Ben, and her precious great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Mason; brother, Jerry Holyfield and wife Betty; sisters, Rachel Thompson, Janie Knighten, Betsy Davis and a host of extended family and friends.  Throughout her career as a jeweler at the Jewel Box, Marie's artistry and attention to detail were only surpassed by her ability to connect with those around her.  Her gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but the beauty she created and the love she shared will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Polly Holyfield; her husband, Davy Mitchell; brothers, Dan Holyfield and Joe Holyfield; nephew, Jerry Holyfield Jr and a great nephew, Wesley Allen.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Friday December 6, 2024, in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham.  The family will receive friends following the service.
