Marion Leon Workman

Mr. Marion Leon Workman, 75, of Mebane, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2017 at 2:15 pm. Born in Durham County on July 23, 1941, he was the son of Lonnie Robert and Ina Scarlett Workman, who preceded him in death. Mr. Workman was a truck driver by trade, and was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Morrison Workman of the home; sons, Lynwood Workman and wife Tammie, Robert “Bobby” Workman and wife Amy; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Faucett (Robert), Joanne Robinson (Hal). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Workman; and brothers, Lonnie and Robert Workman. The service for Mr. Marion Workman will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the chapel of McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. Pastor Rick Finley will preside. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence.
