Marjorie Black Scott, 87, 0f Burlington went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Marjorie was born in Alamance County to William and Swannie Black both deceased. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and attended Lamb’s Chapel and she was homemaker.

Marjorie is survived by her children: Janet Duggins (Lashley), William V. Scott, and Randy N. Scott (Maggie). Grandchildren: David Scott, April Scott, Steven Scott, Jason Scott, Zachery Scott. Great Grandchildren: Brianna, Brittany, Hannah, and Taylor. Special nieces: Carolyn Griggs and Betsy Scott.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Thurman H. Scott. Two sisters and four brothers.

A funeral service is planned for Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. Ernest Beck. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence.
