Mark Anthony Christopher, 40, of Sanford, North Carolina, died on Monday, March 24, 2025, due to injuries sustained during a car accident. Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Shelby Sadler-Christopher; their daughter, Maisyn; a daughter, Hadley; a foster son, Daylan; his brother, David Christopher; his father and mother-in-law, Randy and Robin Calcutt; and sisters-in-law, Amy Fields and Anna Calcutt, as well as his nieces, an uncle and cousins. His family and friends truly loved Mark. A sweet story is that Mark and Shelby had a Snapchat streak that lasted almost four years, sharing their days and documenting their journey together. He especially enjoyed working on his family's property and spending time with his family and friends. He loved riding his girls on the four-wheeler on a Sunday afternoon. He attended church at First Baptist Church in Aberdeen with his Calcutt family.
Mark grew up with a strong appreciation for education and hard work, graduating from Eastern Alamance High School in 2003. He understood the importance of learning and worked tirelessly to put himself through college, balancing a full-time job during the day while attending Piedmont Community College at night. There, he earned an associate's degree in mechanical engineering, a field in which he truly excelled. Mark had an innate ability to grasp complex technical concepts and mechanics, which made him an invaluable asset in the engineering world.
He was always eager to lend a hand to others, whether it was troubleshooting machinery issues or stepping in to repair equipment with ease. His passion for Ford trucks and Mustangs was well known, and he took great pride in his work.
Mark was employed by CRBE in Graham, North Carolina, where he made significant contributions to the company. According to his colleague, Bryan Witcher, Maintenance Manager at CRBE, “Mark served on the Amazon account for four years, initially as a Senior Mechatronics and Robotics Technician for three years, and most recently as Controls System Lead for the past year. His impact on our organization went far beyond his official role.
The loss of Mark is deeply felt throughout our organization. His reliability, unwavering dedication, and readiness to help others set a standard that we all strive to uphold. He was not only a colleague but also a mentor, an innovator, and a friend who made our workplace a better place every single day. His presence will be profoundly missed.”
