Marty Gray Glasgow

It is with great sadness we share the news of the sudden passing of Marty Gray Glasgow, 60, who met his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Marty was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He lived his life to the fullest and loved his family and friends with all his heart. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed but we find comfort in knowing he loved Jesus, and his eternal home is awaiting him.

Meeting him in heaven are his mother, Judi Modlin Allen, cousin and best friend, Rodney Starr Modlin, maternal grandparents Edward Paul Modlin and Ida Alene Jones Modlin. Paternal grandparents, Raymond and Annie Glasgow, Lillian Broder, and great-grandaddy James Leslie Martin.

He leaves behind to treasure his memories; his son, Jeremy Gray Glasgow (Alisha); daughter, Chloe Lynne Glasgow; his father Marvis Gray Glasgow and stepmother Mary Jane Glasgow; stepfather Lacy Allen; 4 sisters, Nikki Holland (Scott), Edna Scarlett (Robert), Tammy Pennington (Brian Sr.), Tonya Spruill (Dave); 1 stepsister Nicole Allen; and 2 brothers, Eddie Glasgow (Erica), and Marshal Glasgow (Katie). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him very much.

The family will receive visitors at the home of his father at 4615 Lebanon Road, Efland NC.

A Memorial Service in his honor will be held Sunday, October 6th at 3pm at Mt. Zion Christian Church, 3210 Mt Zion Church Road, Mebane NC.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Rick Webster and Russell Alvis. Visitation to follow in church fellowship building and all are welcome.
