Marvin Wesley Cranford, 78, formerly of Mebane died Friday, August 3 at White Oak Manor in Burlington. He was a native of Durham County, retired owner and operator of Marvin’s Upholstery for many years and a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond M. Cranford & Gladys Matkins Cranford Hudson and sister, Linda Jobe Blackwood.
He is survived by his sister, Geraline “Gerri” Cranford Bullis Warren of Burlington and 4 nephews, Rev. Michael Bullis, Jimmy L. Bullis, Brian Jobe and Allen Jobe
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Monday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Pastor Keith Spake. Burial will follow in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 on Monday before the service.
