MEBANE - Mary Louise Yow Carden, 84 of 6320 Teer Road in Mebane died Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. She was a native of Greensboro, NC, retired from Isley Knitting Mill and Sweaters USA and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Rufus Carden, parents; James Curtis and Lillie May Brown Yow and a sister; Doris Stafford.She is survived by her daughters; Annie Marie "Susie" Lamm of Saxapahaw, NC, Juanita Louise Herndon of Chapel Hill, NC, sons; Ronnie Wayne Carden of Chapel Hill, NC, James Ervin Carden of Henderson, NC and Donnie Earl Carden of Mebane, NC, sisters; Patricia Yow of Ohio, Beatrice Gaydou of Durham and Glenda Mauer of Chapel Hill, NC, brother; John Walter Yow of Chapel Hill, NC, 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. David Atwater with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 – 1:30 before the service.
