Our beloved mother, Mary Pauline Holliday, entered the Church Triumphant on Tuesday, 21 October 2025. At the time of her passing she was a resident Peak Resources of Graham, North Carolina.
Pauline, as she was known, was born on 9 August 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of Irvin Hirim Austin, Sr. and Maude Earline Spivey Austin (later Wade). Pauline worked various public jobs, cashier for S&S Cafeterias, waitress for S&S Cafeterias and International House of Pancakes. Later, she was a long-time clerk and manager of Circle K. Our mom was a hard-working woman who sought to provide for her family and taught her children a solid work ethic. She loved her four children and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As well as her beloved brothers, Bobby Hendrixs and Irvin Austin, Jr. and their families.
Pauline is survived by her children: William Holliday (Mo) of Wake Forest, NC, Mary Caylor (late Tim Caylor) of Mebane, NC, Thomas Jefferson Holliday (Lila) of Port Orchard, WA, and Earline Vandergrift of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren: Kimberly Turner, Michelle Gurney (Mike), Jeffery Holliday, Jackie Freymuth (Nick), Kellie Greenhill (Brandon), Kazandra Sievers (Andy), Zachary Holliday (Melissa), Matthew Holliday (Melissa), Austin Franklin (Josie), Tanner Holliday, Madison Jean Sturges, Brooklyn Sturges; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by nieces: Patricia Craven (Walter), Elizabeth Vardi, Sharon Collins (Chester) and Melinda Ward (Michael); nephew Robert Austin (Angela).
Pauline was predeceased by her parents Irvin Hirim Austin, Sr. and Maude Earline Spivey Austin Wade; beloved brothers Irvin Austin and Robert Hendrixs; nephews Michael Hendrixs and Eugene Hendrixs; niece Lynn Hendrixs.
Pauline was a member of Hebron Community Church, formerly Hebron United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hebron Community Church on Mebane Oaks Road, Mebane, North Carolina, 15 November 2025 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dustin James and Reverend William Holliday officiants.
