Mary Royal Johnson

Mary Johnson, 77, of Mebane, NC passed away at her residence on February 1, 2020.  She was born on February 2, 1947 in Sampson County. She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Johnson, daughter; Renee Hancock (Eddie), son; Ricky Royal, step-daughters; Pamela Parrott (Duane), Kimberly Wiggins (Steve), sisters; Linda Johnson (Marshall), Jane Hollingsworth, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Royal and her parents, Samuel and Eva Boone Smith. A memorial service will be held on February 4, 2020 at 2pm in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will take place in Coastal Carteret State Veterans Cemetery.
