Mary Etta Mann

Mary Etta Mann, 85, of 2621 Millikan Road in Chapel Hill, fought a good fight and kept the faith and finished her course on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. She saw the angels coming to take her home to Heaven and she didn't take her eyes off them. She was a native of Orange County, she was a secretary with Cannon Mills, retired from Sellers Manufacturing in Saxapahaw and a member of Bible Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Mary Etta Thompson; husband, Robert Lee Mann; and daughter, Dawne Mann Guthrie. She is survived by her son, Robert M. "Mike" Mann and wife Debbie of Chapel Hill; daughter, Venitah Coffelt of Havelock; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Ava Thompson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bible Wesleyan Church conducted by the Rev. Brian Covert. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 Friday night and at other times at the residence of Mike and Debbie Mann, 2405 Millikan Road, Chapel Hill. The family would also like to offer a special thank you to her niece, Jean Deaton for the love and care shown to Mrs. Mann during for the past several years.
