Mary Montise Plante

MEBANE - Montise May Plante, 93, formerly of Graham, N.C., went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, after a more than three – and-a-half year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A loving wife, beloved daughter, and adored aunt, Monty lived a long and energetic life full of many adventures, talents, and experiences. An accomplished painter and drawing artist, she was an equally skilled seamstress, making all her costumes for the ballroom dancing competitions and exhibitions she enthusiastically enjoyed with her precious husband, Bob Plante, who preceded her in death, losing his own battle with Alzheimer's in April 2013.In addition to her husband, Monty was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Ola May; sister, Dorothy Montgomery; and brother, Kenneth ""Ladd"" May.She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Lauretta May; seven nieces and nephews; her much-loved first cousin, June Carol Young; and dozens of grand-nieces and -nephews.
