Mary Jane Stackhouse

Mrs. Mary Jane Stackhouse, 78, of Graham, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John Vance Meachum (Pawie) and Eva Hooper Meachum (Mawie). Mrs. Stackhouse was a retired beautician, starting Graham Beauty Salon and proudly working there for 30+ years. Mary can be remembered as a uniquely bright woman, always giving her time and energy to whoever she could and refusing to see nothing but the best in others. Mary can also be remembered as a loving woman, enjoying time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends, and her mini poodle “Prissy.” Mrs. Mary had love in her heart for many things but none surpassed the love she had for her family, they were her pride and joy.

Mrs. Stackhouse is survived by her son, Clinton Baker Stackhouse, her granddaughter, Alicia Stackhouse Tony, her grandson, Christopher Stackhouse and wife Jenni, her second granddaughter, Ciara N. Stackhouse, 8 great grandchildren, special nieces, Julie Smith and Marcy Harding, a special friend, Edna Phillips, and many other loving family members.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Baker Stackhouse, her sister Judy Meachum, and her brother, Barry Meachum.

A visitation will be held at McClure Funeral Home from 12:00PM – 2:00PM on Sunday, August 8th, 2021. A memorial service will be held at the McClure Chapel in Graham following the visitation, beginning at 2:00PM.
