Mary White Thomas

On September 23, 2014 Jesus gently took the hand of Mary White Thomas and guided her through the gates of Heaven where she was reunited with “her Edward” and all her loved ones that have been waiting for her. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories and deep abiding love are her five children; daughters- Delana Forbes & husband Steve, Tina Norris & husband Duane, Becky Young & husband Compton; sons- Johnny Thomas & wife Lisa, Tim Thomas & wife Donna; grandchildren- Carmen, Charlie, Brooke, Jared, Grayson, Justin, Jason, Amber, Adam; great grandchildren- Caleb, Ava Rose, Jonah, and Emerson. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Paul Thomas; parents- John and Lannie White; brother- Roland White; sisters- Fannie Perry, Stella Wrenn, Elizabeth Shoffner, and Baby Sarah White. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday September 25th, at 11:00AM at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington. Officiating will be Brother Billy Allen. There will be no public visitation however the family will receive friends at her daughter’s residence, 214 Long Ave., Graham. The family would like to express their gratitude to the past and present staff at Homeplace of Burlington, and extend their thanks to Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice Home and Palliative Care Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. Until we see you again, we will be having picnics in the park and living life to its fullest just like you taught us. Thank you for being our mama.
