Marybelle Shoe Davis

Mary Belle Shoe Davis, 87, of 1987 Hilton Rd., Burlington, NC previously resided on Preacher Holmes Rd., passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Alamance Health Care Center. Mary was born in Alamance County. She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church. She was a loving caring mama, maw maw, and great maw maw. She will be missed dearly. She loved picking up her pecans and persimmons. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon D. Barfield (Stephen) of Conway, SC, Granddaughters, Jennifer Hunt (Jimmy) and Cortney Jenkins (Derrick) both of Graham. Great Grandchildren, Gracie, Macie, and Leyla Hunt all of Graham. Step Grandson, Blake Barfield (Barbara) of SC. Step Great Grandson, Kaiden Barfield of SC. Sister, Lula S. Rogers of Graham, Shirley S. Petty of Graham. She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Leonard Davis. Parents, William Harlan Shoe and Lillie Belle Herring Davis. Sisters, Virginia S. George. Brothers, Ross, Jim, and Winford Shoe. A funeral service will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Wooten and Dr. James Bryan. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Friday evening. Other times they will be at the residence of Jennifer and Jimmy Hunt, 3859 Preacher Holmes Rd., NC 27253.
