Matthew Craven

Matthew Craven, 75, passed away on February 27, 2018 surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was a devoted husband and father. He retired after 35 years of service from Lucent Technologies. He was an avid sports fan who loved the New England Patriots and he also loved listening to Doo Wop music. Matthew married Grace Craven on January 14, 1967.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Grace Craven, daughters; Deborah Legnetti and husband Phillip of Winston-Salem and Judith Craven of Raleigh, Nieces and Nephews; Christopher Thallemer and wife Dominica and their children Amanda and Matthew, Michael Thallemer and partner of many years Don Wiener, Mary McNeill and husband Art and their daughter Gwenivere, Anna Sharpe and husband Jay and their children Louis, Ellen and Jack, Kevin Thallemer and wife Melissa and their children Kevin, Max and Finn.

He was preceded in death by his son Matthew J. Craven, parents Joseph and Eileen Craven and his brother Kevin Craven.

The family will receive friends on Sunday March 4, 2018 from 4-6pm at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service n Graham. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00pm on Monday March 5, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Burlington. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
