Melba Faucette Lashley

Mrs. Melba Faucette Lashley, 94, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the Alamance Healthcare Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Isla Lillian Trollinger Faucette. She was married on December 13, 1943 to the love of her life, the late Lacy Gus Lashley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane and she retired from AT$T Guilford center with 32 years of service. She was the Valedictorian of her graduating class from Mebane High School. She enjoyed her trips and dinners with her brothers and sister in laws over the years and she especially loved her home and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Laci Lashley Allison, of Mebane; son, Lyle Van Lashley, of Mebane; grandchildren, Courtney Anne Allison, of Mebane, Adam Chadwick Allison, of Gibsonville and David Anthony Allison, of Mebane; great grandchildren, Natalie Catherine Allison and Joseph Colton Yurigan and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, Bill, Sam, Roney, and Wilbur Faucette; half-sister, Nell Jobe and a son in law, Richard D. Allison. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday March 9, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Mebane with the Dr. Terry farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday and other times at the residence of the daughter Laci Allison.
