MEBANE - Mrs. Melba Wright Massey, 80, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, she attended Eastside Baptist Church in Mebane.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Melvin "Shorty" Massey, of the home; daughter, Michele Ashe and husband Mike; granddaughter, Brittany Ashe; grandson, Skylar Ashe and wife Kelly; sister, Mildred W. Dail; brother-in-law, W.C. Dawkins; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, James Nelson Wright and Maggie Wright; son, Ronnie Massey; a baby girl; sisters, Iona Daniels, Cora Lee Dawkins and Marian Spainhour; brothers, Fletcher Wright, Alonza Wright, Ervin Wright and Nelson Wright Jr.The family will receive friends Thursday, June 12, from noon until 1:30 p.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lebanon United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Perkins and the Rev.
