Melissa Furstenau

Melissa was a mother to 2 boys, Tyler  Bright and Michael Small, and 1 girl, Samantha Furstenau, a grandmother to 5 grandchildren, the daughter to Delmar Ray Small and Ruby Kay Phillips, a sister to Marty Small and Timothy Small, and a friend and loving wife to Gary Furstenau II.

As my wife, Melissa, always took the time each day to say “I love you”, sometimes asking me if she had said I love you today to ensure that I, her husband,  knew she loved me each and every day.  She started telling me daily in written or verbal form “I love you” since the first day after our first date.  She was kind and sweet and never had any ill will towards anyone that I know of.  I never heard her curse, she never expressed any type of ill will towards anyone that I was aware of and loved me and her children with all of her heart.  She believed in God and was a devout Christian at heart.  I know that God took her on the day we celebrate the birth of his son and that her spirit is in the kingdom of heaven as she definitely would have earned a spot with him our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ in the kingdom of heaven as she never showed any ill will towards anyone.  She always loved everyone with all her heart, and even though her physical heart is what finally took her away from me and her family, I know that her spiritual heart lives on.
