Melissa Agnes (Ridgeway) King

Melissa Agnes Ridgeway King, 69, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, March 31,2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Person County to Woodrow Wilson and Montie Wells Ridgeway, both deceased.  Melissa was retired from the hosiery industry and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Melissa is survived by her children; Bonnie King Chriscoe (Larry) of Glen Raven, Rita King Freeze of Burlington and Ricky Bailey King (Tabatha) of Burlington. Grandchildren Larry Wayne Chriscoe, Brandon Shawn Avila, Cortney Strader, Dillon Strader Jones, Tyler Alan King, and Carman Alexis Freeze. Great Grandchildren; Braylan Donnell Walker and Cheyenne Marie Avila. Siblings; Marie Ridgeway Freeze of Graham and Dewey Reginald Ridge (Sherry) of Burlington.

Other than her parents Melissa was predeceased by her husband Warren Bailey King.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be a close friend of Melissa and Warren, Pastor Harold Proffitt. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 5 until 7 prior to the service.
