Melvin Delano Phillips

Melvin Phillips, 83, passed away on May 3, 2022 at Alamance Health Care in Burlington.  He was the son of the late Grover “Cleodore” and Beulah Keck Phillips.  Melvin retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years and also served in the United States Air Force.  He is survived by his son, Richard Phillips (Candy); daughter, Kimberly Pulliam (Joseph); sister, JoAnn Poore; grandchildren, Bryan Pulliam, Courtney Phillips, Emily Phillips and Allison Phillips.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janet Phillips and a sister Doris Jean Sharpe.  The family will receive friends on Saturday May 7, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.  A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday May 9, 2022 in Linwood Cemetery in Graham.
